This week I had the opportunity to give a presentation at Charleston Retirement Community. I met several potential low vision patients with Diabetes of the Eyes and Macular Degeneration. I informed the residence about all of the free programs that they qualify for due to their visual impairment, such as: Directory Assistance, Books on Tape, Safelink and Large print checks. We also discussed transportation through Paratransit’s door to door bus transportation service and how we help patients achieve their personal goals. It is always exciting to let people know about our services and to educate the public about Low Vision Services Inc.
